Q. What is YPN South Bend?

A. The Young Professionals Network (YPN) South Bend is a personal and professional development program in the South Bend Region that encourages young professionals (YPs), ages 21-39, to take ownership in the community. As a program of the South Bend Regional Chamber, YPN is an outlet for the next generation of leaders to enhance their potential to reach their life goals and enrich this community.


Q. Why should I get involved with YPN?

A. If you are new to the South Bend Region, want to expand your professional network, become more connected with this community or simply want to experience everything this community has to offer, we encourage you to check out one of our events. We are a group of peers who work and play in the South Bend Region and who share common interests and aspirations. Come to our next event, and you’ll see why you want to get involved.


Q. Who is eligible to attend YPN events?

A. All YPs (ages 21-39) are welcomed and encouraged to attend our events.


Q. Does my company need to be a South Bend Regional Chamber member for me to attend events?

A. No. Chamber member or not, YPN is open to anyone. Our only requirement is that you are between ages 21-39! However, because YPN is a program of the SBR Chamber, priority will be given to those venues that are Chamber members to host events.


Q: Who should I contact if I want to become more involved in YPN?

Q. How can I become a member of YPN?

A. Since YPN does not have membership dues (right now) or technically membership requirements, there’s no “joining” at all really. Sign up for our enewsletter and “like” us on our Facebook page, or simply show up to our next event or activity. It’s that easy!


Q. How much does it cost?

A. Getting involved with YPN does not cost you a thing. However, a majority of the YPN events cost a minimal fee and those fees are listed on the events’ description so you’re aware of the costs before registering or attending.


Q. What’s included in my $15 fee for a Power Lunch?

A. The $15 fee includes lunch, beverages and a presentation.


Q. If I registered for a Power Lunch or some other paid event, and can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

A. Unless otherwise noted, cancellations must be received at least 24 hours in advance of event day and time for a 100% refund. If you need to cancel, contact Shari Carroll at 574.400.4024.


Q. How does the leadership of YPN work?

A. YPN is owned and managed by the South Bend Regional Chamber, with advisory input from a volunteer Advisory Council that strives to promote our mission to develop, connect and empower young professionals to showcase how great it is to live, work and play in the South Bend Region.
